The Department of Histology, Cytology and Embryology studying Russian and foreign students are about 80 groups I-II courses of medical, pediatric, dental, preventive medical and microbiology departments. Instruction is in English and Russian languages.

Born Nov. 12, 1934 After Karmaskalinskoy high school district Karmaskalinskogo BASSR, to study at BGMI, where he studied in 1952-58. on the medical faculty.
From 08.58 till 08.60, he worked as head of the district hospital Alaygirovskoy Karmaskalinskogo area.
From 09.60 till 09.63, was a graduate student Department of Histology BGMI, from 1963 to 1971 he worked as an assistant to the department of histology from 1971 to 1989 he was assistant professor of histology, since 1990 – Doctor of Medical Sciences (defended doctoral dissertation, Moscow), since 1991 – Professor of Histology. From 1989 to 1999 he headed the Department of Histology BSMU, and since 1999 – Professor of Histology.
Under the guidance of Professor Kayumova FA protected by 25 Ph.D. theses, published over 250 scientific papers and educational works, published 10 monographs, received 45 rationalization proposals, received 2 patents for inventions.

Department of Histology, organized in 1934 under the guidance of Professor Nicholas Churbanova Illarionovich. In the period of the faculty research focused on the study of the digestive system in the age aspect. Research in this direction were continued in the period of the management department lecturers Sadovnikov II (1948-1951 years). Tsarapkin and NR (1951-1955 years)..
In 1955, the department was headed by Professor Shimanov NS, which has been studied the development of the innervation of the digestive system in the embryonic period and started the development of a new scientific field – the study of the blood system in the norm. In the future, under the leadership of Professor Bikbulatova LI in the years 1975-1985 were studied problems histogenesis of blood and blood-forming organs. The aim of research was to determine the morpho-functional characteristics of peripheral blood cells and red blood cells in human bone marrow at the age of 4 weeks of fetal development and 30 years of postnatal life, identifying the most informative parameters of cellular adaptation to the adverse impact of external factors and the development of Ranked Among the ways to correct such exposure.

Doctorate Professor Kayumova FA devoted to the study of morphological characteristics of blood cells and the placenta in the mother-placenta-fetus system during adaptation to the action of unfavorable environmental factors. Developed reference data hematological indices and cytochemical parameters of peripheral blood leukocytes in normal pregnancy, the parturients and newborn infants in relation to local environmental conditions. First time a comprehensive study of metabolic homeostasis in the mother-placenta-fetus system in normal and gestosis of pregnant women, developed recommendations for the prevention of violations of perinatal development. Given the severity of the environmental situation in the Republic of Bashkortostan, due to the high concentration of enterprises nefteperabatyvayushey, petrochemical and chemical industries, the efforts of the department are currently focused on studying the state of blood and blood-forming organs under the effect of compounds 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-DA), is widely used in agriculture as herbicides. Based on these data revealed the mechanisms of development of hematological disorders accompanying herbicide intoxication of the organism. For the first time the materials describing the changes in the central link of erythropoiesis – erythroblastic islands in bone marrow. We estimate the kinetics of differentiation of colony-forming cells in proeritroblasty, the rate of their maturation, as well as the nature of the reconstruction of erythropoiesis in erythroblastic ostravkah during intoxication of herbicide 2,4-DA. For the first time evaluated the functional and metabolic activity of leukocytes in experimental animals exposed to toxic 2,4 – YES in dozovremennoy dependence. For the first time proved that the activity of interphase nucleolar organizer regions in chromosomes of lymphocytes and the nature of apoptosis, the timing of appearance, severity and duration of circulating lymphocytes with signs of nucleolar segregation in the blood are directly dependent on the dose of herbicide.
